V-Day

We're not into v-day stuff, but we do have one little tradition that I think is pretty fun...
a heart shaped pizza :)  I didn't feel bad eating it because Joe dragged my butt to the gym this morning and I ran three miles.

We started looking at tickets for Hawaii today and also finished our registry at Macy's.  Yay. :)

So Happy Valentine's Day :)

Got to meet my newest Cousin, Gia, and watch a Bulls game in an awesome skybox.

Some Holiday Cheer

Our decorations.

We don't have a chimney in our new house, so this will have to do- I actually love it :)

Joe picked this up at Cracker Barrel- I love it.

Hey! It's Frankie!  He loves this holiday basket.

The tree.  Those frames are now filled with holiday photos... just don't have a photo of it.

The ornaments

One of Joe's childhood ornaments

Joe really wanted this (at Cracker Barrel) so I gave in :)

Thanksgiving

We're Back Home!

We got back yesterday from Thanksgiving in Cincinnati.

It was great to spend time with Joe's sister Andi and her family.  And we got to meet our newest niece, Kaityln!

Kylar and baby Kaitlyn!

Uncle Joe and the girls :)

Cute Kylar

Joe and the baby- sooo sweet :)

Yes, I let Kylar use my camera.  Kind of scary, but she loved it.

Me and the baby :)

I like this one Joe took :)

We went to the Air Force Musem- got to see all the retired Air Force One's

Joe was in HEAVEN.  This is the "Sacred Cow."  So cool!

4th of July

Happy 4th!

Today we're celebrating by relaxing.  My mom and dad are here and we're just enjoying the awesome weather.  Kate is coming over later and we'll be grilling out and I'll be making lemon pasta.  Life is good, friends! :)

As a girl who has a name that's so Irish that it hurts, I love me some St. Patty's Day :) I remember Irish dancing every year from first grade to 10th or 11th grade at different events on this day- some of my greatest memories!

Sadly, I'll be "celebrating" by meeting with brides allll day. But hey, I'll celebrate if I book them :) I'll in Alexandria, DC, and end up near AU for my last meeting of the day. I'm kind of excited, because I'm going to hang out in my old digs at The Davenport- the coffee lounge I used to work at, in-between meetings :) I have a lot of photos to edit, so hopefully I get some done.

Also- moving so soon I can't stand it! Two days!!! :)

V-Day

What's the best way to celebrate?  Cupcakes and pizza, of course! :)

Since I have a wedding today, we celebrated last night... cupcakes and pizza!

Skip the flowers and chocolate- a heart-shaped pizza is all I wanted. :)

I hope you all have a good one and celebrate :)

Inauguration Day

Whether you voted for the dude elected or not, you have to be awed and amazed by the crowds today in DC!

I had decided awhile ago to not head down the the National Mall, but I kind of regret it now... all my friends who went said it was worth being in the 15 degree weather for 7 hours.  But I really did enjoy watching it on TV, and got to see a bit of everything.  (and sit on a nice couch with my hubby-to-be (!)  and the puppy, and eat popcorn.)

The view from the Capitol down to the Washington Monument was stunning- a sea of literally millions of people!  I've been on the mall *a lot* and I seriously can't fathom that entire area being full of people.  Incredible!

This inauguration means a lot to everyone, for many different reasons.  For me, it's inspiring knowing the son of an immigrant can be president- that Barack can overcome so many things in his life, stick tight to his beliefs and ideals, and still be successful.

So Happy Inauguration!  :)
